I'm willing to use some letter keys for this purpose and have them not work for typing - I don't need to type in Dino Eggs anyway - but perhaps a joystick on/off toggle (Alt-F12, perhaps?) would resolve that issue too. I would like to remap some keyboard keys to my USB controller, but cant seem to figure. This Input Selector image dates back to the very earliest versions of the Unity Editor in 2005. Virtual axes and buttons can be created in the Input Manager, and end users can configure Keyboard input in a nice screen configuration dialog. What I hope to see is some way to specify which keys should be used for the four (eight?) directions as well as which ones should be used for the two buttons. I also ran it side by side with AppleWin on normal PC display. Unity supports keyboard, joystick and gamepad input. (Not to mention that it also requires that I hold my left wrist at a very unnatural angle that quickly becomes very tiring.) I have fairly small hands and this stretch is uncomfortable to say the least. ![]() The only way I can find to keep one hand on the cursor keys and use the other to press the two buttons is to put my left pinky on the left Alt key and stretch my hand to span the space bar so that I can put my left index or thumb on the right Alt key. ![]() reWASD permits to turn any controller, keyboard or mouse into DualShock 4 or Xbox 360 controller, and tune the layout exactly the way you need. On a laptop with no numeric keypad, trying to play a game that requires both joystick buttons for different purposes is all but impossible.Īs an example, the game Dino Eggs cannot be played without using both buttons frequently. Enjoy Xbox / PS4 controller emulator magic. ![]() I'd really like there to be some option for configuring the keys used by the joystick emulation. I hope I'm not repeating a request that already exists but I didn't see.
